History
Niece Kitchens spawned in 1971, as a small part of Niece Lumber’s product mix. No one ever imagined that almost 40 years later, Niece Kitchens would grow to what it is today. Our original Kitchen design team was lead by Bill Schibel, a position he retains today as the Niece Kitchens manager. Due to demand and expansion of our small kitchen department, Niece Lumber added an addition to the main store in 1984, this addition was built just to house our kitchen and bath department. In the 90’s as the design technology was emerging, Niece Lumber purchased a designing computer with 20/20 design software – no more hand drawing of floor plans. As we continued to grow the business, Niece Lumber started hiring employees strictly for kitchen design. 1997 brought us current assistant manager and designer Jill Opdyke. In 1998, Valerie Blair was hired to help in the showroom and run their purchasing department. In 2007 Tim Graber joined our Kitchen design team and spends some time in the field doing service work. In 2011, Niece Kitchens hired Stephanie Conover to join the design team, Stephanie has plenty of interior design experience.
All Niece Kitchen designers are NKBA certified designers. Our designers spend countless hours training on-site and off-site with manufacturers. We encourage you to come meet our team and understand why dealing with Niece Kitchens is the best value in the kitchen and bath remodeling business.
